Arrested Development — Silver Bullets
A poem, by Samantha Montana
I can’t help but feel
That I’m going insane—
Banging fists
Against my head
To rack my brain—
Crack the silver bullet
Put it through my head,
Dive bar living
Just to forget,
Who I dream of
But I’ll never be:
A man of action,
Exceeding grasp
With reach—
Instead I resign,
Underground with
The mice,
Decaying in my
House of flies—
An Amazon forest
Of one-day shipping,
Weeks-old sheets,
Piles of clothing—
Desperate to subvert
The feeling—
Left behind by
My peers donning
White collars,
5 a.m. coffees,
60 stories above me—
In twenty-something skin,
Disguising a teen

Great imagery in this piece adding to the feeling of despair
The imagery in this is wonderful Samantha, love this poem
